Here are some easy grilled cheese & panini recipes that you can make at home. They are a great way to turn homemade bread into hot & delicious sandwiches. Who wants a boring cold sandwich… when you can have an amazing hot & toasty panini or grilled cheese sandwich? Not Bread Dad!

Paninis & grilled cheese sandwiches are super easy to make… so you probably don’t need my online recipes!!! Just have fun & experiment with your family’s favorite cheese & sandwich ingredients.
Grilled Cheese Recipes from Bread Dad – This type of sandwich is known as a cheese “toastie” in the UK
- Air Fryer Grilled Cheese – Learn how to make a great grilled cheese sandwich with your air fryer.
- Grilled Cheese Panini – This grilled cheese sandwich is made with a two sided panini press/grill.

Remember that paninis & grilled cheese sandwiches taste best with homemade bread. For example, my panini & grilled cheese sandwich recipes work well with Bread Dad’s bread machine French bread, bread machine oatmeal bread and bread machine multigrain bread. Of course, you can also use supermarket and bakery breads to make paninis & grilled cheese sandwiches. However, they probably won’t be as good as paninis made with your own freshly made bread!
IMO – Panini presses & grills are a great way to get the best out of your frozen homemade bread. The toasting helps to mitigate minor freezer burns, etc.
In case you don’t know, a panini press is a relatively inexpensive machine that grills the top and bottom of a sandwich. It toasts the bread and heats the interior of the sandwich (creating the delicious melted cheese found in most paninis). Many panini presses also add the classic “grill stripes” found on the exterior of paninis.
